Here's a design for my band's EP... It's all about how there are 2 Gardens in the Bible; Eden and the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus cried out for humanity. How did we end up like that? How did we lose paradise and punish God himself?
Over the last few weeks I've been working on the flyers, leaflets, presentation packs, letterheads and posters for NewHope09 in Newport coming up at the end of the month. It was a great project to be working on and had a nice end result. It's also generated a lot of buzz since it's print run of 1000's.
This morning I did the first design for my book on the Psalms, 'Natural Anthem'. I'm going through each one and offering thoughts about how it is relevant to today and making links to music, musicianship and modern songs.
A funny thing happens when you export them though in CMYK - Blogger has no idea how pick up the colours but does change it in some nice ways.
This week I have been watching lots of Photoshop and Illustrator tutorials and learning some great new working practices while also picking up the new features of CS4. Here's some samples;
I was reading this BBC article; "Yankee Doodles" which discussed how Obama is portrayed in cartoons so far. I like him and couldn't bring myself to be the first to draw a nasty picture, so here's my effort:
